Tropico

We developed the new identity and website for Tropico Photo, a photography duo based in Atlanta, known for their dynamic, colorful, and richly textured work. Their name evokes warmth and vibrancy, and we wanted to infuse that energy into the redesign of their identity.

The new custom-designed logomark blends nostalgia with modernity. Its slightly offset geometry evokes the playful side and fluidity of the graphic system, capturing Tropico's essence between precision and spontaneity. The graphic system was designed to be both structured and flexible; it stretches, contracts, and transforms to create rhythmic and dynamic visual compositions, combined with justified text and a grid that can become a modular pattern.

Even a few years later, the identity remains as current and relevant as it was at its launch.
