Founded in 1978 in Montreal, and with a rich history of over a hundred shows, Théâtre PàP is a theatre company committed to creating contemporary texts, mostly from Quebec dramaturgy. The key to their values is freedom of action in their production mechanisms, and to create theatre that highlights dramaturgical and scenic research, as well as the free exchange and transmission of ideas among playwrights, performers, and designers. With a strong sensitivity to political and historical legacies, Le PàP values works that question the imaginary or the essence of reality, that dissect, fragment, and recompose their meaning in the light of the current era.
