Founded in 1978 in Montreal and with a rich history of over one hundred shows to its credit, the Théâtre PàP is a theatre company committed to creating contemporary plays, mostly from Quebec dramaturgy. Key to their values is freedom of action in their production mechanisms, and to create theatre that promotes dramaturgical and scenic research as well as the free exchange and transmission of ideas between playwrights, performers, and designers. With a marked sensitivity for political and historical legacies, Le PàP values works that question the imaginary or the essence of reality, that dissect, fragment and recompose their meaning in the light of today’s times.
