Le PàP
Founded in Montreal in 1978, and with a rich history of over a hundred shows, Théâtre PàP is a theatre company committed to creating contemporary texts, mostly from Quebec dramaturgy. With a marked sensitivity for political and historical legacies, Le PàP values works that question the imagination or the essence of reality, that dissect, fragment, and recompose their meaning in light of the current era.
Le PàP wanted a solid and simple identity that would not only represent them in a contemporary and relevant way but also describe their creative approach, their work, and their reflection behind each of their projects.
The objective of their work when developing plays is dedicated to the process, a free and unrestricted process, separate from the pressures of the final result. This is divided into 3 main phases where each eventually merges with the others. The circular and cyclical aspect of the creative process, repeated over time, was a key element for them. We chose to make it the foundation of the new identity and to represent it through the grid on which the different visuals for each of their plays and communications are built and evolve.
